The world’s best hotels for 2017 have been revealed by TripAdvisor and a luxury boutique hotel in Budapest has taken the world title.

Aria Hotel Budapest in Hungary, where rooms are available for an average of £235 per night, was named the top hotel for 2017 in the Travellers’ Choice awards. The luxury boutique hotel’s design is inspired by music with each of the four wings dedicated to a different genre of music: classical, opera, contemporary and jazz.
Travellers praised the hotel’s staff, location and “impeccable service”. One TripAdvisor reviewer wrote: “From the moment we walked into the hotel the staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.”
In second place is Indonesia’s Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, which was described as “amazing,” while Italy’s Turin Palace Hotel took the third spot.
Hotel The Serras in Barcelona was named the fourth best hotel in the world, BoHo Prague Hotel in the Czech Republic came fifth and Portrait Firenze in Florence is the sixth top hotel.One hotel in the UK made it onto the top 25 list and was also named Britain’s best hotel for 2017.
The little-known Hotel 41, located opposite Buckingham Palace, beat off competition from the likes of Claridge’s, The Savoy and The Dorchester to feature in the world’s best hotels list. It was also named the seventh top hotel in Europe.
